June 19 - Never doubt the power of the calculator. The computer. The Time Machine.
Another week goes by, another check in the win column for the prognasticating projectionator known as The Triple Threat Time Machine in the WNBA Triple Threat Fantasy Challenge. Another loss for The Fantasy Guru Matthew Brennan, writer of Threat Assessment.
Pat-a-pat pat.
That's me again. Patting myself on my back. It feels good to be right.
There was a while there when I was thinking The Machine (look, I can't take credit for these picks) might make the Top 10 in the brand new weekly leaderboard featured on the Fantasy Resource Center with that new car smell. Didn't make it, but we did well.
Oh, and that new car smell? The WNBA Fantasy Resource Center is the first of its kind. Your fantasy hub for all things WNBA fantasy basketball. If you haven't been there yet, check it out.
And while you're there, look around. We don't have a "no touch" policy here. You break it, you take it. Keep your money.
What else do we have? The most extensive WNBA statistics found anywhere. Anywhere. Sort to find how players do at home, on the road, in wins and losses, as starters or substitutes, in conference, on no rest to three plus days rest....
Deep breath. We continue.
Sort by pre-All-Star and post-All-Star, yesterday, last five games, last 10 games, last five days, last 10 days, week-to-date, by month, by day of the week...
Exhausted. Taking a nap. I'll be right back.
We're in the home stretch now. View stats from last year or this season, preseason, regular season, or postseason, rookies or sophomores only, totals and averages, by position, and by statistical category.
Did I mention that these are the most extensive WNBA stats found anywhere? And you can view PRA stats, which are most useful for Triple Threat Fantasy Challenge.
Coming soon? The Fantasy Sports Performance Index, also seen on NBA.com for NBA Fantasy Basketball, to evaulate WNBA players in rotisserie leagues.
Plenty going on here. Don't go anywhere. Back to task...
The Guru, he lost again. The Time Machine, it won again. Let's take a look at the results:

Unlike last week when all of our picks were the same except for one, we have a nice group of picks to compare this time around. The Time Machine dominated. No reason to mince words here.
But this is not meant to slight Mr. Brennan. He still knows his WNBA. I and The Time Machine do not. We just know stats. We don't have the inside info on injuries and playing time that The Fantasy Guru has. So use whichever you'd like. Use both. Use a Scrabble board.
