Q. What are some countries you've gotten to travel
to for basketball or personal reasons?
"Well I really enjoyed a recent
trip to Cancun for Christmas. It was beautiful. Being in Israel also stood out
for me. Being in the country so rich with biblical history was amazing. Being
a Christian, to be wear Jesus walked, was really important to me. It was so amazing
to be there, where they describe scenes from the Bible. Like the River Jordan."

Q. Do you have a favorite place to vacation?
"I can't remember
the last time I had a vacation, but when I'm here, Chuck E. Cheese is the only
place I get to go. But I would like to go to England and have a nice two-week
vacation. But that will never happen."
Q. If you could choose, would
you prefer to be on a beach, hiking and camping out, or visiting a museum?
"Definitely
visiting a museum or seeing historical sites. I love seeing old buildings and
interesting architecture. When I go overseas to play, I make sure I find the oldest
buildings and see the museums and castles there. It is so amazing to see all the
things that happened in the past that are still standing and are still preserved.
There are no preservation societies overseas. They don't need them because they
would never think of tearing down any of those buildings."
Q. What
are your favorite WNBA cities to visit?
"None of them because we are
always on the road. But it would have to be Houston or San Antonio. We always
stay near the Alamo and the area near the Riverwalk which is nice and calming.
I love to walk on the river in the morning and meditate."
Q.
What is your favorite city to visit when you want to go shopping?
"Definitely
Houston and Minnesota. Who can beat the Mall of America? It is so big with everything
you can imagine. Hundreds of stores, they have color zones. And they have a Krispy
Kreme in there… wow. You just have to be focused when you're there. I mean,
they have an amusement park there. I just have to focus on what I really need
- shoes, clothes, etc. But if you go in there unfocused, it's like a black hole."
Q.
How about for a good meal when out on the town?
"I like a good meal, you
know. Morton's Steakhouse if I'm really in the mood for something nice. That's
in Charlotte. Plus, there is a lady there in Charlotte, Miss Deborah, who cooks
for us. Wow. She's great."
Q. What would you recommend when a visiting
team comes to Connecticut?
"In Connecticut, I couldn't recommend too many
places, but if you are from the "Alice" generation, there is a place
like Mel's Diner called Rosie's. It's the best. We go there after late games.
It's open 24-hours a day. Even Margo Dydek went and tried to squeeze into the
little booths. Her and her family, who are all tall, tried to squeeze into a table
and it wasn't pretty."
