CHICAGO, Sept. 14, 2008 (AP) -- Tina Thompson had 26 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks and the Houston Comets beat the Chicago Sky 79-76 on Sunday.
Mistie Williams had 13 points and nine rebounds for Houston (16-17), which won its second straight after dropping its previous five.
Houston will play its season-finale Monday against Sacramento at Texas State University's Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos, Texas. The game was postponed Friday because of Hurricane Ike.
"We've been through a lot this season,'' Comets coach Karleen Thompson said. "Just with the hurricane and everything happening and games are up in the air. I'm proud of them just to stay focused and keep their minds on the game plan. We wanted to put everything behind us and just come play basketball.''
Candice Dupree scored 20 for the Sky (12-22), who finished their season by losing for the fifth time in six games. Jia Perkins scored 13 and Cathy Joens added 12 for Chicago.

After Perkins hit her fourth jumper of the quarter to cut Houston's lead to one, Shannon Johnson responded with a 3-pointer that just beat the shot clock to give the Comets a 77-73 lead with 13.8 seconds left.
Dupree hit her first 3-pointer of the season with 3.1 seconds left to close the gap to one. But Thompson sank a pair of free throws with 2.4 seconds left.
The Comets used a 8-2 run to take a 72-69 lead with 1:40 remaining. Houston took a 64-61 lead after an 8-3 spurt, but Chicago responded with six straight points to take a three-point lead with 3:14 left in the fourth quarter.
Chicago rookie center Sylvia Fowles left the game early in the third quarter after getting elbowed in the neck. Fowles finished with eight points and six rebounds.
