New York, NY - April 26, 2005 - Shameka Christon and Crystal Robinson keep adding to their list of basketball accomplishments: Monday it was Israeli champion. The two Liberty players led their Elizur Ramla team to its second straight, and fifth overall, Israeli Championship. Christon led all players with 21 points as Ramla defeated Anda Ramat Hasharon, 80-71.

Christon was nearly flawless from the floor, connecting on nine of her 12 field goal attempts. In 34 minutes on the court, she added three rebounds and two steals. Robinson contributed on all fronts: scoring 12 points and passing for six assists. In 37 minutes she also added a pair of rebounds and steals.

After celebrating in Israel, the players will join their teammates in New York for training camp. They and the rest of the Liberty will look to continue the winning ways as the team hosts the WNBA Champion Seattle Storm in pre-season action on Saturday, May 7 at 4:00 at Madison Square Garden.
