The New York Liberty pre-season schedule opens with a home contest against the defending WNBA Champion Seattle Storm on Saturday, May 7 at 4:00 p.m. from Madison Square Garden. The Liberty next travel to New York’s state capital, Albany, to take on the Detroit Shock in a neutral site match up on Sunday, May 15.
The Liberty open the 2005 regular season on its home court at Madison Square Garden for only the second time in team history. On Sunday, May 22 at 4:00 p.m. head coach Pat Coyle and her Liberty team host the Detroit Shock, who come into The Garden for a rematch of the opening round of the 2004 Eastern Conference Playoffs. The season opener will be broadcast live on MSG Network.

The New York Liberty basketball team is in its ninth year of operation with the 2005 season.
