May 28, 2004 — The Lynx today announced that rookie center Vanessa Hayden has been placed on the team's active roster. Hayden will be eligible to play in tonight's home opener vs. the Washington Mystics at 7:00 p.m. The 6-4 center began the season on the Injured List as she recovered from offseason surgery on her fractured right ankle, an injury sustained on March 30.

The team also placed forward Gwen Slaughter on the Injured List with patellar tendinitis in her right knee. Per league rules, she must remain on the IL a minimum of three games.
