Auburn HIlls– The Shock lost for the second time in its last three games (all at home) with a 92-79 setback. The first half was a see-saw affair as there were six lead changes and five ties, before Charlotte closed the half by scoring six of the last ten points between the teams. Midway through the second half, the Shock tied the game at 56, but then Charlotte responded with an 18-5 fun over a span of 4:16 to take control of the game for good. Cheryl Ford scored a career-high 19 points to lead the way for the Detroit Shock. She also added 12 rebounds for the 6th double-double of her career. The Sting’s Shalonda Enis and Allison Feaster both recorded career-high in points as well, scoring 29 and 23 respectively to lead them to victory. The Shock gave up a franchise-record 13 three-pointers as Charlotte shot a sizzling 55% from the field.
