Indianapolis - Detroit fell to 0-2 on the year with another double-digit loss, this one coming on the road to the Indiana Fever. Despite a rough first half that saw the Shock down 13 at the break, Detroit came out of the locker room energized cutting the Fever lead to one, 47-46. The Shock still trailed by just one, 55-54, with 10:02 left on the clock, but their rally faltered as Indiana scored 24 of the final 32 points of the game.
Indiana’s Tamika Catchings scored a game-high 23 points and added 13 rebounds and five steals. Deanna Nolan tied her career high with 15 points nailing five three-pointers in the process. Swin Cash scored in double figures for the second straight game .
