Sacramento – The Detroit offense struggled yet again as the Shock made just 30.4 percent of their field goal attempts and lost their fourth straight game to fall to 5-15. Detroit never led as the Monarchs opened up their first double-digit lead with 7:42 to go in the first half. The Shock cut the lead to nine at the break, and got as close as five in the second half, but Sacramento quickly pushed the lead back to double-figures and cruised to the win.
Yolanda Griffith posted a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double for the Monarchs while Astou Ndiaye-Diatta and Jae Kingi each scored 13 points to pace Detroit.
