The Shock fell to 0-3 all-time vs. the defending champs as Cynthia Cooper scored a game-high 24 points to lead four Comets in double figures. Detroit was limited to just 38.2 percent shooting from the field and trailed by as many as 23 in the first half.
Korie Hlede and Sandy Brondello combined to score 33 points for the Shock and Dominique Canty chipped in with 12 points off the bench. Detroit closed the game on an 11-2 run for the final 12-point margin of victory.
