Auburn Hills– New York was determined to stop the Detroit Shock’s four game winning streak and jumped out to a 12-point lead. With Detroit down 10, 44-34, to start the second half, the Shock outscored the Liberty 24-11 in an eight-minute period. The Shock kept fighting back and gained the lead for good with less then a minute left to play. New York’s forward tandem of Crystal Robinson and Tamika Whitmore led the way with 22 points and 20 points respectively. The Shock was led by Deanna Nolan and Ruth Riley, each scoring 18 points a piece. Nolan tied her career-high in points.
