The Detroit Shock were led by Swin Cash’s 26 career-high points on 10 for 17 shooting. All of the Shock’s starters were in double figures as well as Kedra Holland-Corn adding another 14 from off the bench. Cheryl Ford had her 5th career double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. The Shock’s 56 point first half set a WNBA first-half record for points. With Detroit up nine to start the second half, San Antonio outscored the Shock 24-16 over the next 10 minutes to cut the lead to one, 72-7, with 10:10 remaining. The Shock scored the next nine points of the game, taking an 81-71 lead at the 7:06 mark and never trailed again.
