To promote literacy, DisneyHand, Radio Disney, and the Los Angeles Sparks took part in a WNBA Read To Achieve “reading timeout” on August 18th. The event also included a special visit from Minnie Mouse. Los Angles Sparks players Tamecka Dixon and Nikki Teasley read fun Disney stories to children and signed autographs for everyone in attendance. Nikki read The Lion King to the first group and then had the kids take turns reading aloud to her in the reading chair.
