I want to thank you for embracing me these last five years. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your passion for this team of ours. Just as I believed five years ago when I came to Seattle, I still believe that you are the THE BEST in the WNBA! No one rocks an arena like YOU do!

Speaking of rocking an arena, I have that confetti-filled night on October 12, 2004 etched permanently in my memory bank. If I close my eyes now, I can still feel the building shaking with your energy and excitement, I can smell the sweat of exhaustion from the players, I can see sheer ecstasy in every face, and the taste of that champagne was the sweetest thing ... Thank you for compelling us to win that big, beautiful trophy! It is a feat to be cherished and held tightly for all of us.

As I move on to new challenges and beginnings I close this chapter of my career and life with much fondness. I have enjoyed getting to meet and know many of you. Thank you for your constant support and enthusiasm. I am praying that the Storm knows no other home - the team belongs here with you. After all, who could possibly care for it any better?
