A seven-year WNBA veteran, Ndiaye-Diatta has appeared in 167 career games (101 starts) for Detroit (1999-2003), Indiana (2004) and Houston (2006), posting career averages of 7.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Ndiaye-Diatta appeared in 11 games for the Shock during their WNBA Championship season in 2003.
Ndiaye-Diatta will be making her second appearance as a professional in Seattle after being drafted by the Seattle Reign with the 13th overall pick in the 1997 ABL Draft. She played two seasons with the Reign, averaging 5.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. In addition to her experience in the ABL and WNBA, Ndiaye-Diatta has also played professionally in France, Italy, Russia and Spain, and she is a member of the Senegalese National Team.
A cum laude graduate of Southern Nazarene University, Ndiaye-Diatta led her college team to an overall record of 126-8 and four consecutive NAIA National Championships. She remains second on the school’s all-time scoring list.
