OVERVIEW This season the Connecticut Sun will recognize those individuals who have made an overwhelming impact on the lives of others through our COMMUNITY MVP AWARD. We will honor individuals that are making exceptional and lasting contributions to our community through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit. PRIZES Each Community MVP will receive the following: Four (4) tickets to a Connecticut Sun home game A commemorative plaque which will be presented at center court A photo opportunity with a Sun player Their photo and story featured on the Connecticut Sun website (Approximate Retail Value of prizes is $200).

NOMINATION PROCESS

Anyone can nominate a firefighter, police officer, rescue worker, teacher, community leader or any other individual or organization making a difference. Tell us, in 150 words or less, why your nominee is deserving of the Connecticut Sun Community MVP Award, including examples of the nominee’s level of commitment and contributions made to their community. One recipient will be selected for each 2008 home game.

Nominations can be submitted several ways:

SELECTION PROCESS

• One (1) Community MVP will be selected for recognition at each Connecticut Sun home game.
• The Connecticut Sun will begin accepting nominations for the Community MVP Award on Monday, April 28 and throughout the 2008 season.
• Community MVPs will be selected by Connecticut Sun staff, based upon the nominee’s apparent level of commitment, as well as any lasting contributions to the community.
• Community MVPs will be notified via mail and/or telephone. Each Community MVP must respond to mail or voice-mail notification within 72 hours, or their award may be forfeited and an alternate Community MVP will be selected from all remaining eligible nominations.
• The decision of the Connecticut Sun will be final in all matters pertaining to the program. The Connecticut Sun reserves the right to correct any and all printing, typographical or mechanical errors.

TERMS

• No Purchase Necessary.
• Potential Community MVPs (or parent/legal guardian if nominee is under 18 years of age) will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and mutually acceptable Release of Liability 14 days prior to award or award may be forfeited and alternate Community MVP selected.
• Failure to comply with these guidelines will cause the award to be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Community MVP.
• If (i) any Community MVP does not respond to award notification in the time-frame stated, (ii) the Community MVP declines his or her award, (iii) the Community MVP or his/her parent or legal guardian fails to return the liability release within the timeframe stated or (iv) the Community MVP is unable to attend on the date specified, it will result in disqualification of such Community MVP and an alternate Community MVP may be selected by the Connecticut Sun, in its sole discretion.
• The Connecticut Sun will use reasonable efforts to pick an alternate Community MVP but in the event an alternate winner cannot be determined, the award will not be distributed.
• Each Community MVP acknowledges and agrees that as a condition of winning, if legally permissible, the Connecticut Sun, the Women’s National Basketball Association and its member teams and WNBA Enterprises, LLC and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates have the right to publicize the Community MVP’s name, likeness, city of residence, and fact that he/she received an award, and all matters incidental thereto, without further compensation.
• Awards are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash, and no substitutions are allowed.
